How I fell in love with fitness
I remember my high school years when we used to go to a local makeshift gym at prisons in Langata Rd, where I lived close by. This experience, I believe, birthed my interest in bodybuilding and fitness.
In addition to standalone fitness, I played football in high school, and as part of our training and prep, we had makeshift weights that we built and were passed down by older students. Initially, the 'why' that guided my pursuit of fitness was looks, and that is the reason I did bodybuilding—to look good, as we saw in the magazines. This 'why' morphed over the years, and I now pursue fitness for health and longevity. But beyond my 'why,' I had another experience that reinforced my decision to change my life. I got involved in a drunk accident that was the second of its kind.
Luckily, no one got hurt, but I received the message the world was sending to me—I needed to turn my life around. I moved to CrossFit (a fitness program incorporating elements from several sports and types of exercise), and this was a more interesting challenge than bodybuilding. Since then, I have never looked back. Social media initially started as just a platform to show my transformation journey.
But then there was interest from people I helped successfully through similar journeys, and I learned that I enjoy changing lives and educating people on wellness. My aim is to continue transforming people into their desired physical and mental form through fitness, nutrition, and health. If you want to make this transformation but don't know where to start, reach out and let me help you get to where you want to be.
Do not wait for a harsh sign, like I did, to decide to turn your life around. Because, "He who has health, has hope; and he who has hope, has everything."
